We all recite quotes, whether it be "Say hello to my little friend" a popular quote from the movie "Scarface" or "Don't get crazy!" from the ever popular Bon Qui Qui from Mad TV. They make us laugh and help us recall a Movie, TV show, Commercial, Book, or even a great speech. If I say, "I Have A Dream" you all think of the Famous Dr. Martin Luther King. They make an imprint on us. For example you hear someone say... " We love to see you smile" you automatically think of ..... McDonalds, or if you hear the slogan.. "Just Do It" ??? Yup, NIKE... I love quotes, and people that know me, know that I recite them all the time. I wrote down a few of my favorites, and want you to do the same.. Let me know what quotes or slogans you like.. 75% of the shit that comes out of my mouth is from a book, song or movie, yet for the life of me I can only conjure up a line that Lloyd Dobler (John Cusack) said in 'Say Anything'
ReplyDelete...picture the scene. Lloyd a simple, easy going kid at dinner with the girl of his dreams, her single dad, and his high society friends. The dad asks young Lloyd what he wants to do with his life, and you would think he'd say something to impress his guests and all, but no. Not Lloyd. He's honest, and lovable. He replies:
"I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that."
